The Internet Has No Seasons
Traditional home buying and selling seasons have evolved as a result of instant access to property listings. Serious home buyers are always on the hunt. Today’s buyers do the bulk of their home searches online and that’s especially true in the colder months. This means that the marketing of your listing must include high quality photos that show off the home you have so tenderly cared for. Working with an experienced real estate agent will help you get your house in prime position for the perfect sale.
SMART Team Tip -
Less is More
Selling in the winter means that staging will include your Holiday decor. We all love our holiday decorations, the ones passed from generation to generation, the ones the kids made in 1st grade. These are wonderful unless you are trying to sell. Keeping the decor to a sophisticated minimum will allow room for the buyer to imagine how their own holiday may look.
Start with the front of your home. Keep sidewalks shoveled and clear of ice. Add a few potted plants with some winter green sprigs placed in them and a beautiful accent wreath to the front door. Simple things like these will allow you to highlight your homes best features.
